Since 1963, this home, with its Victorian atmosphere, has been an elegant restaurant under the management of Richard Varese, the proprietor and host who was born in New York City and he apprenticed in Europe.
Prior to coming to Riegelsville, he was associated with Sardi’s, Delmonico’s, and the Plaza Hotel in New York. Richard’s wife, Zanette, began the European tradition of excellence as the “Master-Chef”.
Presently, our chefs carry on the tradition of old time honored European recipes. Out chefs have had extensive training at university and culinary schools in the USA and Europe? This knowledge, their skill and art coupled with their highest regard for our customers, has enabled the Villa Richard Restaurant to keep and set pace with the ever changing art of gastronomy.
